Dana was often referred to as "The King" of high diving. No one in the sport accomplished more than he did in his illustrious career. He accumulated eight (8) World Champion titles and has seven (7) World Record high dives under his belt, more than any other diver in history . He was an Acapulco Cliff Diving champion and won his rirst high diving event at the age of sixteen.
He presently holds the current world record for highest successful attempt at 172'. He got his start in the business at the age of thirteen when he performed on the Boardwalk at Wildwood, NJ. He went on to become one of the most successful water show producers in the business.

At the age of 12, Dana does a full list of dives...without getting wet! January 2009 Dana talks about competing in diving events at the age of 12. It was Phillips Jr. High School in Minneapolis, MN and, even then, he was psyching out his competition with some unique capabilities. Before the event, he would perform his full list of dives (mostly trampoline tricks)on a 1-meter springboard fully clothed and without going in the water.
