Winner of the World High Diving Championships which was held at the Calgary Stampede Expo in Toronto Canada in 1968. John's career includes recognition in the International Swimming Hall Of Fame. He was a phenomenal clown diver, water show comedian and was a Master's diving champion. He was also instrumental in the development of the Masters Diving program. He presently serves as the President of the World Acrobatic Society.
A shadow in the water on a high dive May 2009 It's amazing how your perception of 'things' changes when you're diving from a 110' platform. John talks about his unique experience while competing in the world high diving championships in Canada in 1968. After his takeoff, John noticed a shadow of what appeared to be a very large fish swimming directly toward the location for his landing and prepared for the impact of that apparent collision. It's a great story that most high divers will relate to.

The development of the Masters Diving Program May
2009 He explains how the Masters Diving program got off the ground, which was due in large part to the efforts of Mr. John Deininger. Where the program has progressed to today. At the age of 70, John still competes in the events which are held twice per year.
