Dene was an Acapulco Cliff Diver
(Captain of the American team) and an incredible acrobatic diver. Dene
and his brother Vic were some of the early innovators of acrobatic
diving techniques. Their names are synonymous with the sport of high
diving and the water show business. Dene was dedicated and truly loved
what he did for a living. Those who had the privilege of working with
him (and learning from him) have tremendous respect for this wonderful
staple in our unique business.
Randy Dickison's Disastrous 175' World Record Attempt Hong Kong - 1985 May 2009 Dene was in Hong Kong and helped set up the 200' tower for Randy's dive. He provides us with a first-hand account of the unsuccessful effort, which resulted in a leg shattering on impact.
Randy Dickison's Last Show May 2009 Dene sheds light on the sorrowful loss of our good friend and fellow high diver Randy Dickison who lost his life while performing a fall-away ladder stunt into an 8' x 8' sponge at a show in Belgium. Although the heart-wrenching incident resulted in Randy's death, we acknowledge and it's important to convey that our compassionate colleague died doing what he truly enjoyed more than anything else in life...Randy loved to perform! Randy Dickison, another great diver who is no longer with us, but far from forgotten.
