The Most Incredible Water Show Comedians Of All Time
Larry

the 1940s. Larry was inducted into the International Swimming Hall Of
Fame in May of 2010. This is good stuff!!!
Donnie Vick's Heart-Stopping 132' World Record High Dive July 2010 Although
it tends to overshadow a fabulous career filled with numerous
achievements in the sport, this brief video clip is one of the
best-remembered moments in all of high diving.
On the
takeoff for his World Record High Dive attempt in 1974 at a height of
132.5', Donnie's left arm clips a narrowly placed guy wire. His body is
sent reeling almost uncontrollably through the air. Only a man of his
incredible fortitude and keen high diving skills could manage to get
down safely.
AUDIO
LINK COMING SOON...In an audio interview with Donnie, he talks vividly about his recollection of that frightening
experience. You'll come away with a whole new perspective and
tremendous admiration.

Steel Pier - Atlantic City, NJ The
High Dive Show The Diving Horse
Some great Super 8 film
footage of the fabulous Steel Pier show in Atlantic City New Jersey in
1971. It's a little out of focus and hard to tell, but the divers are;
Barney Cipriani, John Tobler, Doug Gandel, Dave Costella & Barry
Weiner. Steel Pier is where many of the legends of high diving got their
start. This was one of the very early Maxwell productions and
it was this wonderful 'team' of premier performers that helped to make Steel
Pier so famous. Lou Plocher broke his leg performing a 70' high dive at Steel
Pier when he landed on a SHARK - YIKES!!!
This video
includes segments of other acts performing on the Pier as well...like
the famous Diving Horse. Norma Maxwell performed as a rider of
the Diving Horse and once told me that horse loved to take the 30'
plunge!
